White
Steven White, co-editor with Luis Eduardo Luna
of Ayahuasca Reader: Enconters with the Amazon’s
Sacred Vine was educated at Williams College and
the University of Oregon where he received his
Ph.D. in Spanish and Latin American literature.
He has published more than a dozen books of poetry,
translations and essays that include bilingual
anthologies of work by writers from Brazil, Chile,
and Nicaragua. Living and working in these and
other countries gave him a deep appreciation of
the marvelous diversity of literature from the
Americas. He has been teaching at Saint Lawrence
University in Canton, New York, since 1987, and
is one of the co-founders of its Caribbean and
Latin American Studies Program. |
